Sunday Workout

Last weekend Leo and I had some alone time so we played a little (okay, a lot), and did some of the physical therapy exercises we've been directed to do.  We have such little time during the week with Leo when he's awake so I cherish the time we get to spend together on the weekends.

Let's delve into this and watch little Leo do his workout.

Here we go, Leo is getting into position:

He limbers up by kicking and kicking and kicking:

Here, Leo is showing off his neck strength.  Look at that head, up proudly in the air.  Phew!  This is tough:

Leo shows off his bulging biceps as he lifts a very intriguing toy:

He takes a break from his exhausting work and ponders the Xs and Os on his blanket:

Leo finds a small giraffe and attempts to eat her (I guess this is less "exercise" and more "snack time":

A giant Mommy finds the little Leo and they take a selfie together:

He works on his grip strength with rings, but isn't too happy about it:

Phew!  That was an exhausting workout.  Time for a nap:

Meeting Grammy

Guess what we had the opportunity to do a few weeks ago?  We met Grammy in person!  We had FaceTimed with Grammy and Grandy a few times, but we were able to spend time with Grammy when we were in Birmingham.  Unfortunately Leo and Grandy were never able to meet in person, but they had some great conversations on the iPad, and Grandy showed him his favorite baby trick - making the clicking/thunking sound with his tongue.  He could entertain any baby with that awesome go-to move.

Grammy and Leo both look comfortable, don't they?

Leo loved his chance to meet his cousins and great aunt and uncle!

Jamie also has a new baby, Millie.  Turns out her baby and our baby sleep the same way:

We went for some lovely walks through beautiful neighborhoods and stopped for coffee.  Leo wanted to blend in with his mommy and Bibi:

Here are Leo and I in Grandy's chair:

Family time on the floor:

Then we found this gem.  Recognize these little faces?:

Check out Leo, the newest (and sleepiest) Alabama fan!  Yes, he is swimming in his outfit but it's the smallest size we could find:

Here we are, four generations, all together, on one couch.  This was so special for all of us:

Getting in some snuggles with Uncle Eric:

On our way home.  This kid is sure racking up his frequent flier miles:

p.s. here are the proud Grandpathers, Pawpaw and Zee.  Get it?  Love the name, Uncle Eric.  Let's see if it sticks!  I can't tell who is happier in this picture!

Once, Twice, Three Times a Poopy

Sit back and enjoy this tale about Leo's tail end.

Picture this.  Leo is sitting in his bath, enjoying his scalp massage and belly tickles.

Then, with no warning, we have a CODE BROWN!  That's right Leo pooped in his baby bath.  I called down for backup.  I took naked Leo out of the bath and snuggled him (that's right, poop and all) while Brad drained the baby tub, drained the big tub, wiped it all down, refilled the baby tub, and made sure everything was good to go.

I got new washcloths, put little Leo back into his baby tub, warmed him up again, and continued his back.  I got him all soapy and sudsy, and then...uh oh...CODE BROWN again!  This time I did it all one-handed.  I held Leo to me in my left arm and with my right I dumped out the water, strategically although not as tactfully, drained the big tub, and refilled the baby tub.

I got new washcloths (again), and Leo goes back in the tub to finish his bath.  Just as I'm about to get scrubbing, we have...you guessed it, CODE BROWN #3!  I threw my hands up and was just going to call it a day on the bath, but I realized his hair was still covered in shampoo.  So I took him out, laid him in his towel on the floor, and changed that bath, presto chango.  The poor little guy was cold lying on the floor (his bottom lip was quivering a little) but he was so good, he didn't even consider crying.  He was amazing!

More new washcloths, another hooded towel, and Leo goes back in the tub to finish his bath.  I'm happy to say that there was no poop #4, and we were able to finish his bath warmly and in peace.

Here is a very short video of Leo in the bath.  No, it's not of the incidents mentioned above, but it's just to show you what bath time with Leo looks like:
