1. Gavi has said her first words!!! What do you think they are? Check out this video to find out:
2. Leo rides a bike!
Since this video a few days ago, Leo has really taken to his bike and rides it 1-2 times a day. He calls it his "teenager bike" and he loves it.
He also loves seeing how the pedals connect to the gears to the chain to the tire.
3. Gavi took her first steps! This has been a long time coming, but finally, at 16 months, she has taken steps! The maximum she's taken has been about 4-5 in a row, but now we know that she can do it. Wuhoo!
Here are some other fun pictures of what we've been up to:
Today we went on a Zoo Safari at our zoo! We drive through the zoo and follow an audio-guide. It was awesome!
Gavi has become really independent (no toenails were actually cut in the taking of this photo):
Everyone made a challah this week! Oh, and we painted our dining room. It was navy and now it's lilac!:
Leo and I planted some seeds, herbs and flowers, and we go on out outdoor tour every single day to check on their progress:
We play outside, where Gavi's favorite toy is the spigot. Also, check out that bathing suit. I mean, come on, right?:
We share popsicles:
Brad became a barber and Leo got a haircut:
We go for walks. Lots and lots of walks around the neighborhood:
And act like statues:
And Leo scoots:
Gavi helps me work from home. If you have a typo in your email from me, now you know why:
And in our free time, at 1am, we paint the house!
And play in the backyard:
Don't get me wrong, this whole quarantine thing has been far from easy. But we're getting through it, and it has been really nice to be around the kids a lot more than we would have been otherwise. It's really challenging and exhausting and I always feel like I'm not balancing working and moming and taking care of myself properly, but I'm doing the best that I can, and I think the kids are having a pretty fun time too.
