Leo was big enough this year to take advantage of all of the fun stuff - walk in the pumpkin patch, go down a huge slide from a fire truck, sitting on a tractor, watching dad slingshot apples into a pond (yes, that's a real thing), flower picking (that was a mom thing), ride in a huge hamster wheel, and more! Leo was absolutely entranced by the tractor that pulled us for the hayride. He wouldn't take his eyes off of it the entire time. He is super into transportation now - truck, car, tractor, and his all-time favorite, busses.
We went with our friends, Jill & Jared and their son Emmett who is about 14 months. We had such a good time! After the hay ride and farm fun, each of the boys got an apple (which Leo still doesn't quite know how to eat. Emmett shredded his with his little teeth), french fries that Leo liked to dip dip in cheese sauce, and funnel cake that he took the powdered sugar from and put on the fries. Then he was running like a crazy man through the tent with all of the people and food, and insisted on pushing a gigantic wheelbarrow through the shop - multiple times. At that time, it was time to go home and he fell asleep in the car about 30 seconds after we started driving.
Here are some pictures from our morning of fun:
