Gavi Visits the Dentist

Gavi went to the dentist for the first time last week.  It did not go well.

She was fine in the waiting room because I gave her a snack:

She was only okay in the exam room, and that's because we poked our heads out and watched the toy train go around and around.

For her actual exam, let's just say that she would not have gotten an A+.  She screamed, she squirmed, she wriggled and flailed. Let me be clear - the dentist and dental hygienist were amazing.  Gavi just did. not. want. to. do. it.

But you wouldn't know it by how happy she was in the car on the way home!

I did so well - yes, me, Stacey - that I treated "us" to Dunkin Donuts on the way home.  I ate most of the munchkins, Gavi ate one (maybe) and Leo ate three.  Sooooo here's hoping that next time Gavi will have a better dentist visit.

Here are a handful of other daily pics so you can see what we've been up to.

Gavi loves wearing hoodies.  She loves three things about them: Pockets. Hood. and Dup (Zipper).  They are so amazing.  She now likes to carry Petunia around in her hoodie (or even in her shirt).  Here she was holding Petunia's hand which I thought was just the sweetest thing!  She's a mini mama.

We've been having fun with Silly School.  Here we were learning about weather, using straws to make wind.  Then the cup of rain was dumped into the snow (cotton balls), making a huge sleety mess, then Leo squeezed them out making rain go everywhere, both inside and outside of the bin.  Whatever.  Notice I've gotten smarter and now put a towel under the bin no matter how clean of an activity I think it will be.

Gavi still loves baths, and now loves to do this mermaid position.  She also loves to dance!  Play "Happy Dance" by Elmo and Gavi will scramble onto the couch and start waving her arms and doing the Happy Dance.

They both made terrariums with PJ Library for one of their virtual events

Leo still has tons of energy, as displayed here.  We were working on letters, selecting which household items begin with different letters of the alphabet.

Gavi is starting to think about potty training, which really means she likes to sit on her little potty and watch Elmo.  Then she stood up and got closer to Elmo, and if you look closely you can see that - yes, she has no diaper on.

Gavi supervises Brad's workout:

So, business as usual around here!  Lots of snacks, jammie breakfasts, kids jumping on furniture, sensory bin activities, arts and crafts, Disney Children's Pandora station, Spanish words and phrases, slippers, stroller walks, vacuuming up messes we've made, books, facetiming, etc.
